Health Professions Advisory Committee

Purpose

To advise the Dean of the McCoy College of Science, Mathematics and Engineering on matters related to pre- medical, pre-dental and pre-veterinary medical programs and to prepare recommendations for students applying to medical, dental, and veterinary medical schools.

Meets at least once annually.

Personnel

Pre-Medical advisor (Chair), one staff member, and six faculty members from the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, and at least two other departments selected by the dean of the McCoy College of Science, Mathematics and Engineering in consultation with the committee Chair and appropriate deans. The Pre-Medical Advisor will select an appropriate number of area physicians and dentists to serve on the committee.
