Additionally, 32.9% of MBA graduates, who have 10 to 19 years of experience, make more than $100,283 per year. (Source: Investopedia.com, by David Joseph Hoppock, 2019).

Your MBA puts you ahead!  MBA graduates earn invaluable professional experience. During your MBA, you will not only review and study business theories and practices but will learn how to recognize and investigate today's real-world opportunities and threats. Further, you will identify creative and viable actions to capitalize on today's world conditions. Students use case studies, take part in industry applications, and learn from business professionals. These in-course experiences will easily translate to years of experience, which can lead to organizational success and rapid career advancement.

Why DCOBA MBA?
DCOBA MBA is nationally and internationally accredited

DCOBA is accredited by the Association of Advance College Schools of Business, International (AACSB, International). AACSB ensures the highest quality standard in business education to prepare the next generation of business leaders. Only one-in-three business schools in the U.S. and one-in-twenty international schools have AACSB accreditation. The accreditation has only been granted to twenty-eight colleges in Texas. The national business accreditation has several benefits to MBA students:

  1. Each student will receive a professional education in business administration, which is relevant and of high quality.
  2. The programs of business education at MSU Texas are fundamentally similar to those received at other accredited institutions in the United States.
  3. When recruiting and hiring business students, companies look favorably on graduates from accredited business programs.

DCOBA MBA is affordable

DCOBA MBA program is one of the most affordable MBAs in the nation. DCOBA MBA is estimated to be second-lowest-cost in Texas. Estimates for total in-state tuition and fees for your MBA are on the  Fee & Rate Chart.  For more information on tuition and fee calculation, please see the University's  Tuition and Fee Calculator. If you are an F-1 visa student, see your  itemized cost estimate.

Graduate assistant positions are available to many students. MSU Texas has a number of graduate merit scholarships, graduate assistantships, and competitive waivers. All of which are awarded on a competitive basis. International students and/or out-of-state students that are granted a competitive waiver pay in-state tuition.

DCOBA MBA is flexible

You can choose whether to take classes face-to-face, online or a mixture of each. The eight-core classes are offered twice annually. This flexibility allows you to complete the MBA on YOUR schedule in the format that best suits your learning needs. It also gives you the peace of mind to know that if life presents opportunities or challenges, you can typically finish your degree online without losing any credits.

It's your choice how you want to take the classes. Many classes are offered using a hybrid or flipped classroom format, and more elective courses are coming online. Students can complete their MBA without stepping on campus. This is a great option for those who may be transferred or reassigned at some point in their graduate program. No hours will be lost!

We know that MBA students require flexibility—to that end we hold our classes in the evening and offer online and hybrid alternatives to maintain flexible scheduling to accommodate the various needs of our students.

DCOBA MBA is geographically advantageous

DCOBA is the only AACSB accredited program in a one-hundred-mile radius, giving the university a geographical advantage for all the surrounding rural areas. Midwestern State University is located less than a two-hour ride from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Oklahoma City. A number of state highways and a regional airport provide accessibility to the campus, which is nestled in a beautiful residential area of Wichita Falls.

DCOBA MBA has the right people

The Graduate Faculty of the Dillard College is among the very best. Graduate faculty are all doctoral qualified from schools such as Texas Tech University, the University of North Texas, the University of Washington, the University of Houston, Pennsylvania State University, Georgia State University, Louisiana State University, the University of Oklahoma, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and Kennesaw State University. The Graduate faculty have decades of industry experience from IBM, Johnson Controls, Procter & Gamble, Exxon/Mobile, Gulf, United States Air Force, U.S. Department of Commerce Small Business Development Centers, General Motors, Ford, Fiat-Chrysler, and Saint-Gobain Vetrotex.

DCOBA MBA offers financial assistance

The Graduate School has graduate merit scholarships and graduate assistantships. Both are awarded on a competitive basis. International students and out-of-state students may be granted waivers and pay in-state tuition. We have scholarships available for military personnel as well.

DCOBA MBA Alumni are successful!

Lacy Morgan
"MSU Texas offers the perfect balance between a close interactive college environment and all the excitements of a larger university. MSU Texas offers great value: the benefits that MSU Texas offers far outweigh the costs associated with it. MBA classes are generally small, and most of the same students move through the courses together. This is a great opportunity to really get to know your classmates. During my first semester in the MBA program, I was assigned to a group of 3 other students, and we've become best friends and great study-buddies from then on!"

Richard Whatcott
"The curriculum is competitive with that of any larger schools, and the facilities are exceptional. These offerings, coupled with an attractive price and committed faculty, made it a clear decision."

Capt. Will Vaughn
"Being on a three-year controlled Air Force tour at Sheppard, this assignment afforded a perfect opportunity for me to earn a master's prior to having to move again.  With a number of options available, primarily in the form of online programs, I was attracted to MSU Texas by the brick-and-mortar classroom environment that I desired, and, most notably, the strong recommendation of another Air Force officer who earned his MBA at MSU Texas.  A low student/teacher ratio means a very personal and interactive classroom environment. A very nice Dillard COBA facility.  Enough flexibility to allow for military duties (e.g., night flying, cross-country flying) but still accomplish all degree requirements."

DCOBA MBA Infrastructure is Advanced

The Dillard College of Business Administration is located in a beautiful, 88,000-square-foot facility that opened in August 2006. The investment of $1.5 million in state-of-the-art instructional technology positions the college on the leading edge in preparing students for career success and mobility.

The Dillard College faculty is first and foremost committed to excellence in teaching. We maintain small classrooms and seminars where faculty gets to know their students and provide them with the personal attention that assures a quality educational experience. The Dillard College MBA program has a small, private college feel in a regional university setting.

What if you don't have a business degree?

Your non-business degree is not an obstacle! A six-hour online leveling course (BUAD 5006) covers the necessary professional business core concepts. The course is offered online every semester.

About Prerequisites

Applicants with undergraduate business degrees in most cases have already completed the required common business knowledge core. Therefore, the prerequisites will not be necessary.

Applicants with undergraduate non-business degrees are required to take a six-hour credit leveling course, BUAD 5006. This course provides a condensed version of the business foundation. Students are required to take this course in their first semester attending DCOBA MBA.
