Provides leadership and oversight for the development, expansion, marketing, and administration of the University's dual credit program. Develops guidelines for schools and students, makes presentations at schools, initiates formal agreements with schools, recommends policy and procedural changes, oversees orientation activities for students, coordinates with academic departments at the University, solves problems, and responds to constituencies in a timely manner. Engages not only with potential dual credit students, but current dual credit students as well. Reviews and evaluates high school transcripts and other necessary documents to render admission decisions for dual credit students. This position also requires academic advising knowledge and duties, coordination with other academic advisors, and working with incoming freshman and transfer students on initial advising leading to registration. Reports to the Director of Admissions with input from, VP of Enrollment Management AVP of Academic Affairs, , and Associate Director of Admissions.

Contributes to the achievement of the University's recruitment and retention goals by identifying new dual credit students working closely with high schools to respond to their needs, collaborating with the offices of academic affairs, admissions, registration, information systems, student affairs and enrollment management, and encouraging dual credit students to consider attending the University upon graduation. Works with Registrar's Office and other staff to ensure that special registration assistance is provided for dual credit students, including visits to area high schools in a timely manner to collect admission and registration materials to meet specified registration deadlines. Provides detailed application and enrollment reports regarding students enrolled in dual credit classes. Contributes to the overall success of the university by performing these duties in a manner consistent with the mission, goals, values, and priorities of the University and by performing all other duties as assigned Assists with the development of applying and registration for dual credit classes, making recommendations regarding policies and procedures. Assists with travel to recruit and register dual credit students and following MSU's enrollment management plan. Works closely with incoming students to provide academic counseling in compliance with degree program requirements. TSI academic counseling, registration process, removal of holds, and other tasks to ensure successful initial student enrollment.

- Experience
-
Minimum of one year experience and training in a high school or college environment, preferably in high school counseling, college admissions, school relations, registration and/or recruitment. Knowledge of high school programming and/or enrollment management planning and/or dual credit programming and/or event planning.
- Knowledge
-
Thorough understanding of admission policies, registration guidelines, university policies, regulations, academic requirements, and degree specific requirements. Must be knowledgeable in the use of computers and commonly used office software programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Background in Banner and Salesforce software, preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills, required.

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or some graduate work, preferred.

Requires strong interpersonal skills and general office skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Ability and willingness to work with a high degree of interaction involving the public and university faculty/administration. Must make a strong, positive representation of MSU and attract quality applicants to achieve stated enrollment goals. Must be adaptable, flexible, and cooperative. Occasional evening and weekend programming required. Other duties as assigned.
